Optical fiber network in Madhyapahari Lokmarg An information highway (optical fiber network) has been prepared in the Koshi section under Madhyapahari Lokmarg. The information highway has been prepared in this section after Nepal Telecom laid optical fiber on 683 km of road with the investment of the Rural Telecommunication Development Fund of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority.
In a program held on Saturday, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma inaugurated the information highway at Hille Exchange Center in Dhankuta under the Koshi section. By using this highway, any internet service provider company will be able to expand its internet service.
He said that the government believes that this information highway, which was built and put into operation targeting the Madhyapahari public road, will complete the Madhyapahari highway project and connect the residents of the Madhyapahari area to the mainstream of telecommunication.
Minister Sharma informed us that FTTH service has been reached in Taplejung, Bajhang, Bajura, Rukumpaschim, Jumla, and Kalikot this year alone, and the total number of FTTH districts has reached 73.
Information Technology Ministry Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, Nepal Telecommunication Authority Chairman Purushottam Khanal, Acting Managing Director of Nepal Telecom Sangita Pahadi, and Dhankuta Chief District Officer Punyavikram Paudellagayat spoke.
