The National Seismological Center has stated that Bhairav Kund in Sindhupalchowk is the epicentre of the earthquake, which disturbed the sleep of even the residents of Kathmandu.
The earthquake that struck at 2:51 p.m. was measured at a magnitude of 6.1.
The powerful earthquake also woke up the residents of Kathmandu Valley. Details of the damage caused by the earthquake are yet to be released.
