Earthquake Causes Landslide In Sindhupalchowk A dry landslide occurred in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchowk due to the earthquake on Friday morning.
Ward chair Nimasona Sherpa informed that the landslide occurred near Tatopani, ward number 3 of the rural municipality.
According to him, the landslide did not cause any significant damage. There was no material damage from the landslide either.
“There used to be landslides there even during the rainy season. Even now, a small landslide has occurred. The tremors of the earthquake were felt strongly at night. There has been no information about the damage so far. We have also been asking for details since morning,” he said.
A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck at 2:51 am on Friday with its epicenter near Bhairavkund in Sindhupalchowk.
Strong tremors were also felt in the Kathmandu Valley. Similarly, tremors were also felt in Madhes and Koshi provinces.
No details about the damage from the earthquake have been received elsewhere.
