After Paying A Fine Of 690 Million: The Ban On X Was Lifted In Brazil After paying a fine of 5.1 million dollars (about 69 million rupees), the ban on X in Brazil will be lifted. On Tuesday, the Brazilian Supreme Court decided to open Elon Musk’s social network X.
According to the BBC, Judge Alexandre de Moraes allowed X to resume his services after X paid a $5.1 million fine and agreed to appoint a local representative by Brazilian law.
Earlier, the court ordered the blocking some profiles on charges of spreading false information during the 2022 presidential election in Brazil. But after X refused the order, Judge Moraes ordered to stop X’s access throughout Brazil.
With this, the legal struggle that has been going on for the past month has ended, and two million more users will be able to use X again.
