Lake Timure Attracting Tourists Timure Lake in Gulmi has become a center of attraction for domestic tourists. Chandrakot Rural Municipality of Timure Lake District is located in Ward No. 4 Remi.
Tourist places like Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and other tourist spots like Resunga can be seen from the lake.
Recently, along with different places in the country, foreign tourists have also come to see Timure Lake. There is a possibility that there will be a lot of tourists if enough publicity is done by connecting Timure Homestay and Timure Lake.
Yuvraj KC, President of Chandrakot Rural Municipality, said that now the rural municipality is working for various structures and protection. According to KC, the rural municipality has given importance to it as a suitable tourist destination within the municipality and is promoting it.
About 4 km below the lake, a homestay is operated in Remi village. Timure Community Homestay is named after the name of Timure Lake. The homestay was launched in 2076.
A maximum of 30 guests can be accommodated in a homestay operated in 9 houses. Local Suzan Rana said that the ‘Timurey Community Homestay’ will provide fun with the organic food of the village, targeting those who come to visit Timure.
