World Suicide Prevention Day 2024 is an awareness day always observed on 10 September every year, to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides, with various activities around the world since 2003. World Suicide Prevention Day is observed on 10 September every year to raise awareness about the impact of suicide and suicidal behavior, and to encourage everyone to make a commitment to doing what they can to help prevent suicide.
As part of the activities to mark World Suicide Prevention Day, in collaboration with the University of Toronto, PAHO will hold the virtual seminar “World Suicide Prevention Day 2024: Changing the narrative” on Tuesday, September 10 at 12:00 pm (Washington, D.C. time). This webinar will focus on the impact of media messages on suicide prevention.
