An Israeli Company Bought An App Made By 3 Students Studying BCA In Jhapa For 13 Lakhs WiFi Thief Detector, an Android app made by three students of Jhapa, has been sold for 13 lakh rupees. Students studying Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) at Mechi Multipurpose Campus in Jhapa recently sold their app to Israeli company Rounds AI Limited.
The three students who created the app are Tej Magar (22), Utsav Dahal (22) and Rahul Bisht (21). All three are local to Jhapa. Among them, Tej is in a leadership role in the group. In the beginning, Tej took the lead in making the app.
He started developing apps and websites while studying in class 11. Since then, he has also created a few other apps on his own. Which has now reached a state of non-operation.
He started working on this app three years ago. He says he started making the Wi-Fi Thief Detector app because of his interest in networking.
It has now been two and a half years since they made this app. They started working on app development right after entering college and are currently studying in their fifth semester.
They got to know each other in the same college, only after they were admitted around the year 2078. They have made the app by freelancing method. They prefer to identify themselves as indie developers. This means developing the app spontaneously without taking money from anywhere.
The role of Utsav and Rahul, who joined only after the development of this app, is also noteworthy. They started working after the update of the app. They have contributed to the app’s UI and UX, ad manager, etc.
During the sale of the app, more than 430,000 downloads had already been done, and there were more users from the Philippines, Indonesia, and Egypt. This app was created by them using Java programming language in Android Studio.
Earlier, apart from the said Israeli company, no one else had sent them an offer to purchase the app. Among them, Rounds AI Limited sent them a proposal at a good price.
Some time ago, the company also bought the Android app Pick Up Lines – Flirt Messages (Pick Up Lines – Flirt Messages) made by Karna Bahadur Budha Chhetri of Bardia Bansgadhi-5 for about 70 lakh rupees.
How is the app?
The app works like a scanner. That is, you can see which devices are connected to WiFi from this app. Generally speaking, this is an app that shows how many devices are connected to WiFi.
But it has features like internet speed test, traceroute (see how your data flows on the internet), and data usage.
Apart from this, a paid version of the app is also available. They have sold that version too. The Pro version used to cost $3.99. Now it is 4.01 dollars. Tej said that it was made by an Israeli company after the sale. After paying that much to use the paid version, you can use the app forever without ads.
Now they are running a website called Age Busy. With this, the background of any photo can be removed in one click. Now they plan to make more apps with the money from app sales.
