An Amazon Employee Earned Rs 5 Crore By Outsourcing His Work To ChatGPT Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer. This company has given employment to more than 15 lakh 32 thousand people. One of the same employees has claimed to have earned 370 thousand dollars (about 492 million rupees) in one and a half years without doing anything.
The senior employee of Amazon made such a claim on Blind, a social network used by professional people. After being fired from Google, he is working as a technical program manager at Amazon.
“I joined with the intention of ‘doing nothing’, ‘making easy money’, and ‘eventually getting into PIP,'” he said in the post. PIP means Performance Improvement Plan (Performance Improvement Plan), which is a process by which the company formally addresses the issue of employee non-performance.
He has said that he has not achieved any of the main targets in one and a half years. He mentioned that during this period, seven tickets were solved and an automated dashboard was prepared. He says that the dashboard was also prepared in just three days using ChatGPT. However, he lied that it took the company three months to make this chatbot.
The screenshot of his post on the blind platform is now being shared on X and other social networks. There have been mixed reactions. Some think that the employees have made good use of technology like ChatGPT, while some have stated that deep problems have been exposed within large corporate structures.
