Telegram CEO Pavel Durov Arrested Telegram’s founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Pavel Durov has been arrested. He was arrested by French police at Bourget airport near Paris while coming to France from Azerbaijan by private jet.
According to French media, 39-year-old Durov has been accused of serious abuse of the Telegram platform. According to officials, the Telegram app is used for money laundering, drug trafficking, child sexual abuse materials, etc. On this basis, an arrest warrant was issued against Durov.
According to Reuters, an indictment may be filed against him in a French court on Sunday.
