Earthquake At Helambu In Sindhupalchok An earthquake occurred in Sindhupalchowk. According to the National Earthquake Measurement Center, the earthquake occurred at 1.30 p.m. last night in the Helambu Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok.
According to the center, the earthquake was of 4.2 magnitude. The residents of Sindhupalchok, who suffered unimaginable loss of life due to the Gorkha earthquake of 2072, were shocked when the ground shook during the rain last night.
In the rainy season since 2072, Sindhupalchok has been suffering great losses of property. Geologists believe that one of the reasons for this is the loosening of the ground due to the earthquake.
127 families in Helambu and 15 families in Melamchi have to be resettled in safe places. But due to the lack of geological studies, they have not been relocated. So even now, they are in the risk zone.
