Paddy Planting Started In Dhanusha With the onset of monsoon for a few days, paddy planting has started in most of the villages of the district. In the district, 42,000 hectares of land are under paddy cultivation, and recently there has been a complaint that there is a lack of fertilizer.
As Ashar approaches, some farmers in the district are planting paddy without fertilizer. Farmers say that this problem is the same as every year and there is no solution yet.
Manohar Yadav complained to the Janakpur branch office of the Agricultural Materials Company Limited, owned by the federal government, that although there was enough fertilizer, it was not available to the farmers. According to him, with the coming of June, some farmers are planting without fertilizer.
The branch office of Agricultural Materials Company Limited has reported that it has sold 93,339 metric tons of fertilizer worth Rs.
Five thousand five hundred 13 metric tons of urea worth Rs 933 lakh 76 thousand 130, three thousand five hundred 72 metric tons of DAP worth Rs 16 crore 43 lakh 45 thousand, 170 metric tons of potash worth Rs 57 lakh 81 thousand 700 And 84 metric tons of lime worth Rs 6 lakh 72 thousand were sold, said Bechan Kumar Mahato, the manager of the office.
Manager Mahato said that fertilizer will be provided to the farmers on time this year and there will be no problem of fertilizer. “From the Janakpur branch, the fertilizer goes through 29 cooperative societies under the 27 municipalities of Dhanusha and Mahottari. Due to the delay of the concerned municipality in the district, the farmers are facing shortage of fertilizers”, he said.
Most of the farmers have not been able to get fertilizer at the time of planting because the quota of fertilizer received by the municipality through the provincial government is not collected on time. The office has been selling urea to farmers at a concessional rate of Rs. Farmers have complained that they are forced to buy from the Indian market when the local sellers distribute sales randomly.
