Biden-Trump Debate: Nepalese Interest In Immigration Policy Since morning, the American newspapers have been full of news about the much-awaited televised debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, which will take place today. The former and current presidents are debating.

The New York Times newspaper has called this debate a’rematch’ meaning re-competition. It is said that this debate, which is going to be held with some new rules, will last for 90 minutes. In this debate, which is going to be held without the participation of the audience, both aspirants of the presidential candidate will be allowed to speak for a specified time, and the mic will be turned off when the time is up.

In the United States, the presidential election will be held in November. Biden and Trump are competing for the second time in the election. Earlier, Biden was elected president after defeating former President Trump.

During the broadcast of the debate, most of Nepal plans to have programs in restaurants and at home. One of them is Harry Bhandari, a member of parliament from the state of Maryland on behalf of the Democratic Party. Talking to Online Khabar, Bhandari said that the main concern of Nepalis is the immigration policy.

According to his analysis, the South Asian community, including the Nepalese, is not interested in political issues, and the role of advocacy is also weak. Bhandari’s analysis is that the issue of family disintegration and TPS may be of main interest in this election.

He also said that there is a responsibility to protect Nepali students from hate crimes since social security should also be arranged.

Many Nepali friends who have settled illegally are in America. Procedurally, the work is slow. There is also a problem with those who come on student visas. The results have not come as expected,’ says Pant.

He argues that the Nepali community has taken great hope from Biden. He has been in the US for 12 years and says that no matter which president comes, it will not make any fundamental difference to the Nepali community.
