Gosaikunda Mela Has Started In Nepal 2081 Gosainkunda fair has started in Rasuwa. As part of the Ganga Dussehra festival, devotees have started climbing Suladri mountain to take a bath at Gosaikunda, a holy pilgrimage site.

There is a popular belief that bathing and worshiping in Gosaikunda will fulfill one’s wishes. Milan Sapkota, assistant conservation officer of Langtang National Park, said that since Wednesday, more than a thousand devotees have climbed Suladri mountain to bathe in the holy shrine located at an altitude of 4380 meters.

Chief District Officer Vednidhi Khanal said that keeping in mind the pressure of the pilgrims, necessary security arrangements have been made. He requested to inform the district administration office or the district police office if there is any problem during the journey.

Nisan Gajurel, District President of Hoteliers’ Association, said that Tirthalu has no accommodation problems. Ganga Dussehra Mela will last for 10 days.

Gosaikunda can be reached from Kathmandu via Dhunche via Tiwari Bagar, Khanti, Deurali, Dimsa, Chandanbari, Cholangpati, Laurivinayak.

Senior chief conservation officer of the park, Annath Baral, said that travelers are requested not to cut vegetation in the name of sticks, to dispose of waste including plastic generated when consuming food items such as noodles and biscuits, only in the designated place in a safe manner, and not to hit wild animals found on the way.

The Gosaikunda area development committee has informed that the Gosaikunda Mela will continue until the 2nd of June.
