This festival will be running upto 30days for one month runs it. They take their meal before dawn and after sunset. The meal taken before the sunrise is called Suhur and the meal that is taken after the sunset is called Iftar. It is believed that dbelieve that it was during this month that God had revealed the verses of the Quran for the first time to Prophet Muhammad.
Fasting for Ramadan is a mandate for all Muslims above adolescence except patients, travellers, elders and women experiencing pregnancy or menstruation. Muslims celebrate the occasion by greeting each other with “Ramadan Mubarak” and “Ramadan Kareem.” On this days they have meet with each other and gift to share own friends and family member together over there.
