Apple’s iOS Has Been Overtaken By Huawei’s HarmonyOS In The Chinese Market In the Chinese market, Huawei Technologies has surpassed Apple’s iOS to become one of the largest mobile operating systems. According to the latest market data of Counterpoint Research, Huawei’s HarmonyOS has become the second-largest mobile operating system in China, surpassing Apple’s iOS in the first quarter of this year.
Harmonios is now said to have captured 17 percent of the total market share. It was eight percent in the first quarter of 2023. On the other hand, the share of iOS has decreased from 20 to 16 percent. From this, it can be assumed that the iPhone 15 series was not very successful in the Chinese market.
Especially in China, due to the high demand of Huawei’s flagship smartphone Mate 60 and Mate 70 series, it is mentioned that Harmony OS has succeeded in reaching this height. In addition, there is talk of bringing a computer version of HarmonyOS. So it is said that Harmonios has achieved this success.
Huawei introduced its own operating system in August 2019 after being banned by the US. This operating system, which is named Hongmeng in the Chinese market, is known as HarmonyOS in the world market.
Harmony operating system, which is becoming very popular among home users, is now only left to overtake Android. Currently, Android is the most used mobile operating system in the world, including China.
