“WhatsApp exports your user data every night,” Musk wrote in his post, “some people still think it’s safe.”
An X user named Mario Nafal wrote in the post, “WhatsApp exports user data every night and uses it for targeted advertising. He has made the user a product, not a customer.” By sharing that post, Musk further emphasized Nafal’s statement.
WhatsApp is the messaging platform of Mark Zuckerberg, Musk’s fierce rival. He is often strongly opposed to the various platforms of Meta.
