Half of Adults Who Use TikTok Never Upload Videos Almost half of TikTok’s adult users never post a video. A study by the American organization Pew Research Center has brought out such a fact.
The study was conducted among 2,745 adults aged 18-49. According to the study, 48 percent of them have never posted a video on TikTok. Some of them have not even put a bio (personal information) in their profile.
It is common to not create content on social media. Social media researchers explain this situation by the ‘rule of one percent’.
According to this rule, one percent of the total users of social networks create content themselves. About 10 percent of users engage in that content. And the rest of them just watch the content. It is said that this concept, which came in 2006, is equally relevant even now. At that time, Tiktok had not been established. YouTube was just a year old.
However, a recent study has shown the number of users who do not post anything on TikTok.
Naturally, there are more users on TikTok without posting compared to X. Because you have to make a video to post content on TikTok.
Similarly, the study also found that there is no deep relationship between age and the habit of posting on TikTok. The 18-34 age group is more likely to use TikTok than the 35-49 age group. However, in the study, it was found that half of the users of both these age groups have never posted.
