In a notice published on Saturday, the authority issued instructions to all internet service providers to implement the government’s decision to immediately ban the use of Tiktok in Nepal.
 
The authority has also informed us that some internet and mobile service provider companies that did not implement the government’s decision have been asked for clarification, and the process of action has been taken forward.
 
In order to implement the government’s decision, service providers who do not follow the instructions given by the authority have been warned that action will be taken according to the Telecommunications Act 2053.
 
Also, Internet service users are requested to inform them about such a company by sending an email to the authority’s email address, content@nta.gov.np, if Tiktok is being accessed or running,” the authority said in the notification.
