Instagram Comments Can Now Be Edited: But A 15-Minute Limit Will Apply. Instagram users can now edit their comments on posts. Meta has brought this important update for the convenience of Instagram users.
However, this feature will only be available within a 15-minute time frame of posting a comment. This new system is similar to the editing feature that Instagram launched for messages in 2024. Interestingly, the option to edit messages was added only in 2024, 11 years after Direct Messaging (DM) was launched on Instagram in 2013.
After making changes, you can save them by pressing the blue ‘check mark’. According to Meta, users will be able to edit comments as many times as they need within 15 minutes.
Comments on Instagram are now visible not only on posts but also in various media, including ‘Stories’, from 2024. Therefore, this editing option is seen to be very useful for users. This new option is part of a series of changes that Meta has brought to Instagram in the last month.
Similarly, in late March, Meta also began testing a subscription service called ‘Instagram Plus’. This paid service will provide exclusive and new features for the app’s Stories feature.
These latest updates from Meta are expected to make the Instagram user experience more convenient and refined.
