Putin Says On Iranian New Year – Moscow Will Always Be Tehran’s Loyal Friend. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia has always been a loyal and reliable friend of Iran. Putin made the remarks while congratulating the Iranian leader on the occasion of Nowruz (Iranian New Year) on Saturday.
“Moscow (the Russian capital) has always been a loyal and reliable friend of Tehran (the Iranian capital), ” the Kremlin said in a statement. “President Vladimir Putin wished Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and President Masoud Peshmerga a happy New Year and assured them that the Iranian people will overcome difficult challenges with dignity.”
Earlier, Putin had commented that the US and Israel had brought the entire West Asia to the brink of destruction by attacking Iran. “The US and Israel have created a major global energy crisis,” Putin had said.
