Elections To The House Of Representatives Will Be Held Within 6 Months. Newly appointed Prime Minister Sushila Karki has taken the oath of office and secrecy. She was sworn in as the country’s 42nd Prime Minister by President Ram Chandra Poudel at a ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas on Friday night.
Addressing the demands of Gen Z, Karki was appointed as the Prime Minister with the intention of holding elections to the House of Representatives within six months (Falgun), the President’s Office informed.
Karki will reach Singha Durbar today and take charge. The Council of Ministers will meet today, and the House of Representatives will be dissolved. Currently, the Council of Ministers has been formed with all ministries under the Prime Minister.
