E-SIM Can Be Obtained From The Telecom’s App And Website Nepal Telecom’s e-SIM is now available through the app and website. The telecom has stated that the e-SIM service can be availed from today.
Telecom’s managing director, Sangita Pahadi, said that the service was launched on the telecom’s 21st anniversary. According to her, till now, customers were forced to go to the counter to get an e-SIM. Now, customers can easily avail of this service through the Nepal Telecom app and website.
An e-SIM is a type of virtual or electronic SIM. With the availability of e-SIM, there is no need for a physical SIM card like the one used today.
For this, a handset that supports e-SIM is required.
It can be used to make calls and use data. There is no need to change the SIM card after using e-SIM.
In addition, Telecom has also launched the commercial VoWiFi service from today. Through this technology, any mobile phone that supports VoWiFi and has launched the VoLTE service will be able to use voice and SMS from Telecom’s mobile number through the WiFi network from within the country and abroad.
