Detective Novelist Shridhar Khanal Dirghabahu Passes Away Journalist and writer Shreedhar Khanal ‘Dirghabahu’, known as a spy novelist, has passed away. He passed away this morning at the age of 94, his son Brajesh Khanal informed.
His novel ‘Shabdbhedi Lodai’ was published in 2022. After that, he wrote the novels ‘Murkatta Las’, ‘Chhaunle Manche’, ‘Panko Ghulam’, and ‘Doctor Demon’ in the Inspector Kharel series.
Similarly, he has also written ‘Majorko Sarp’, ‘Bikhalu Ichchapatra’, ‘Twelve O’Clock’, ‘Venuska Hippies’, and ‘Nangiyek Sundari’ in the Detective Kamalraj Rupakheti series.
He has also written detective novels in the Ram Maharjan series called ‘Hong Kong Merchant’, ‘Helambuki Apsara’ and ‘Gulafi Pin’.
He was a lifelong founding member of Nepal Eye Hospital and was also a member of the Academic Council of Tribhuvan University.
His family members have informed him that his last rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today.
