The shock of the earthquake was also felt in Nepal. Even though Nepal’s Earthquake Measuring Center recorded an earthquake of magnitude 7, China’s Earthquake Network Center measured it at 6.8 magnitude. This earthquake was at a depth of 10 km.
According to the China Earthquake Network Center, there have been 29 earthquakes above magnitude 3 in the past five years in the area around 200 km from the location of the earthquake today. However, this morning’s earthquake is the most powerful.
