World’s Oldest Man Itoka Dies At 116 The world’s oldest Japanese woman, Tomiko Itoka, has died at the age of 116, the Asian city announced on Saturday. Itoka, who had four children and five grandchildren, died in a nursing home, the mayor of the southern city said. She was born on May 23, 1908, in the commercial hub of Osaka, near Asahi.
Itoka was recognized as the world’s oldest person after Maria Branyas Moreira of Spain died in August 2024 at the age of 117.
