After iPhone And Samsung Phones Also Get Satellite Message Feature: How To Use It Before the Galaxy S24 series was unveiled last January, rumours about its features were rife. Reports had claimed that the model would feature satellite messaging, similar to Apple’s new phone.
However, the claimed features were not available even after the series was unveiled. Now, the satellite connectivity feature is slowly starting to roll out.
According to SamMobile, users of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the US have started getting the satellite messaging feature. However, not all customers have received this feature.
SamMobile has mentioned that users who have applied to test Starlink’s service, especially T-Mobile (US SIM provider company), have been able to use this feature.
There is no charge for this. However, the user must have a postpaid account.
US users can register to test this feature now. You can click here to do so.
You can follow the steps below to check if satellite connectivity is supported on your device.
- First, go to Settings.
- Then go to Connections.
- Then go to the Satellite Network option.
If the feature is available, once it is set up, you can send and receive messages using satellite connectivity. T-Mobile Starlink service is still in beta. It is expected to be available on T-Mobile Android phones once it is released to the public.
