Govt Competing On STEAM Learning Content Creation: Here’s How To Become A Participant The government is going to hold a competition among university students to create learning materials for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is going to conduct this program with the participation of students from universities, religious campuses, affiliated colleges, or colleges under the approved annual program of the financial year 2081/82.
The topic of the competition is ‘Development of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics learning materials for use at school level (grades 4-10).’ The competition will be conducted in two phases.
A maximum of Rs 50,000 will be provided to each group for construction. After construction is completed, the materials will be put on display, where the assessors will award points. Based on the evaluation of the exhibition, the first, second, and third place groups will be awarded 30,000, 20,000, and 10,000 rupees, respectively.
Materials created in previous years may not be re-presented to participate in the competition. Each group must have three students and one mentor.
The students should send an application as per Schedule-2 of the Procedures for Conducting University Level Competitive Program on the STEAM subject within 30 days of the publication of the notice. Applications can be sent via email to innovation@moest.gov.np.
