Similarly, screenshots of orders placed by some customers at this discounted price have also been shared on social media. But within a few moments, Daraz responded that there was a mistake in keeping the price of the goods. Likewise, Daraz has asked to correct the price and apologize for the confusion caused by the mistake.
Daraz has now corrected the mistake in the price of that laptop. Looking at the price of the laptop now, it can be seen that it has been fixed at Rs 1 lakh 9,999 with an 8 per cent discount. But the customers who have already ordered are inquiring on social media whether the laptop will be delivered at the earlier discount.
He said that our country’s legal system does not say anything about electronic contracts when purchasing materials through e-commerce and mistakes made in that process. Similarly, he said, no one has taken such a case to court so far.
“There may be one thing that the drawer reminds those who have ordered. But even those who made the order don’t think they will go to court saying that this has happened,” he said in a conversation with Tekpana. “If someone goes, something will happen. In the current situation, there is no legal provision to say that this is exactly what will happen.”
In other countries, the goods will be available at the given price on the platform only after the seller confirms the order. If the seller has not confirmed the order but the buyer has already started the process of buying the goods, then the seller can make the rest of the decision.
