Do You Work On The Computer All Day? Here’s How To Take Care Of Your Eyes Most of us use Windows 11 for work these days. This is the latest version of Windows. Working by looking at the screen all day is definitely not good for eye health.

However, work must also be done. There are some eye-friendly settings available for this. Today we are going to tell you about those settings:

1. Adjust the brightness

Adjusting the brightness is the basic setting for eye health. Brightness is automatically adjusted in most computer monitors or laptops today. But if it does not provide you with ease, you can arrange it yourself.

2. Change the shape and colour of the cursor

Whether working on a small or large screen, the mouse cursor is never lost. Otherwise, time will be spent trying to find where the mouse cursor is. Well, if you at least change the colour and size of the mouse cursor for your convenience, it won’t be a problem for a quick glance. For this, you can follow the below procedure:

  • First, go to computer settings.
  • Click on Accessibility.
  • Click on ‘Mouse Pointer and Touch’ from the options that appear there.
  • Now select the shape and colour of the cursor to suit you through the new page.

3. Increase the size of text and icons

Many people may like to work by reducing the size of the text and icons on the screen. But working in such conditions for a long time is not good for eye health.

By doing this, you can at least increase the size of the text and icons. For this follow the following procedure:

  • Go to System through Settings.
  • Click on ‘Display’ there.
  • Now you will see ‘Scale’ among the options that come up. Within this, you get the option to crop the size of text and icons.

4. Use dark mode

Many people suggest using dark mode for eye health. But by default, Windows 11 comes in light mode. This means that all the user interface is according to the light mode.

But Windows 11 also has a dark mode option. When using this mode, the user interface elements may be black and grey. But it is good for the eyes. For:

  • Go to Settings and click on ‘Personalization’.
  • There select the option called ‘Colors’ and go to the option of ‘Choose your mode’.
  • After this you can see dark mode, click on it.

5. Turn on the night light

Harmful blue light is also emitted when the screen is on. It creates pressure in the eyes. Some studies have shown that it also affects sleep.

For this, Windows 11 also has a feature that can turn off such blue light. As the name suggests, it should be used at night.

But you can turn this option on if you spend time on the screen all day.

  • Go to settings.
  • Go to Display by clicking on System.
  • There you see night light, toggle it on. After doing this, you can use the slider to determine how effective it will be.

6. Using color filters

This feature is not for all users. This is especially true for color blind users.

Various colour filters are provided in Windows 11 for this type of user. It makes the colours visible on the screen more vivid. For:

  • Go to settings.
  • Go to Accessibility and go to Color Filter.
  • There are various options given, out of which use the colour filter that suits you best.

7. Using a contrasting theme

As the name suggests, the task of this theme is to increase the contrast in the user interface. This makes it easier to see the details on the screen. Follow the below procedure for this:

  • Go to settings.
  • Go to Accessibility and click on Contrast Theme.
  • There are various themes given, click on one of them.
