A Maximum Of 9 Million Can Be Spent On NPL Auction A team in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will be allowed to spend a maximum of 9 million rupees in the auction. The auction of NPL will be held in Kathmandu on Sunday.
According to NPL rules, 10 players will be allowed to spend a maximum of 9 million. Each franchise team will have a total of 16 players. Four foreign players and one will come from a talent hunt.
Out of four foreign players, one from an associate country is mandatory. Foreign players will be bound by the internal agreement. All the teams have selected one marquee player in the team through a lock draw.
So all the teams will buy 10 players each in the auction. According to NPL rules, three grade A players, four grade B players and three grade C players have to be bought. The minimum price of A-grade players is Rs 10 lakh and the maximum price is Rs 15 lakh. After the highest price, the lottery will decide which team the player will go to.
The minimum price of B-grade players is 5 lakhs and the highest price is 10 lakhs. There are 38 players on the B grade shortlist. The minimum price of C grade is 2 and the highest price is 5 lakhs. There are a total of 77 C-grade players. B and C will also be drawn after the highest price.
Karan KC Kathmandu Gurkhas, Kushal Bhurtel Pokhara Avengers, Kushal Malla Chitwan Rhinos, Rohit Poudel Lumbini Lions, Sandeep Lamichhane Biratnagar Kings, Asif Sheikh Janakpur Royals, Sompal Kami Karnali Yaks and Dipendra Singh Airy are the marquee players of Sudurpaschim Royals.
