The Screening Of Kangana Ranaut’s Film ‘Emergency’ Has Been Stopped The screening of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ has been stopped amid weeks of controversy and censor confusion. According to Indian media, this film will not be released on September 6.
The censor board there wanted to further cut the film. The board initially approved the film but blocked the certification.
Meanwhile, a hearing is being held in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on Monday regarding the release of the film. A case filed by a Sikh organization has demanded that the release of the film be stopped. This community is protesting that the film has hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.
Kangana has played the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this film. But Kangana hasn’t said anything official about the film being postponed. In a video message released on August 30, Kangana said that the Censor Board has not yet approved it.
According to Indian Express, the controversy started after the trailer was released a few days ago. The Delhi unit of the Shiromani Akali Dal sent a notice to the CBFC requesting it to stop screening the film due to its depiction of Sikhs.
