Thai Film Festival In Kathmandu From Friday ‘Thai Film Festival Nepal 2024’ will be organized in Kathmandu from 14th to 16th of Bhadra. The Thai Embassy in Nepal held a press conference on Monday and informed about this.
Thai Ambassador Suwapong Sirisone said in a press conference that the festival is going to be organized on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Thailand.
A total of 6 films will be screened at the festival, which will be held at QFX’s Chaya Hall. The opening film of the festival is the film ‘How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies’, based on a true story of contemporary Thai society.
The film based on the struggle of a 26-year-old woman who dreams of becoming a professional safe is ‘Pad Thai the Movie’, the film based on the romance of a gay man, ‘Together the Movie’, other films are ‘Undertaker’, ‘Dream a Little Dream’, ‘Broken Sword Hero’.
Ambassador Sirisone expressed the hope that this film will be interesting to the Nepali audience as well. “To celebrate the long-standing friendship between Nepal and Thailand and to connect the Nepali people through the universal language of film, the Thai Embassy is going to hold a festival in Nepal,” said the ambassador.
The films to be shown at the festival include drama, comedy, romance, horror, and Muay Thai films based on Thailand’s martial arts.
