The Number Of Dengue Cases Is Increasing In The Far West In Nepal The number of people infected with dengue has reached 264 in the far western province. According to Hemraj Joshi, the contact person of the Health Directorate, Doti, the highest number of dengue infections have been observed in 56 people from Kailali, 55 from Achham, and 55 from Doti.
Contact person Joshi informed that 39 people were infected with dengue in Kanchanpur, 20 in Darchula, 17 in Bajura, eight in Baitadi, nine in Dadeldhura, and five in Bajang.
He mentioned that as the cold gradually increases, the number of dengue patients also decreases. To avoid dengue, wear clothes with full sleeves, sleep in a hammock, put mosquito nets on the windows and doors of the house, do not let water around the house, and change the water in pots, plates, vases, coolers, etc. once a week.
In the same way, you have to cover the container that collects water so that mosquitoes cannot enter it, you have to be careful when you go to Karesabari in the evening, in the morning, and when you walk outside the house so that mosquitoes don’t bite you. Joshi said that precautions should be taken as dengue-carrying mosquitoes bite more actively during the day.
In case of dengue infection, sudden onset of fever, head muscle and joint pain, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, loss of interest in daily food or other activities. If you see these symptoms, you should go to the nearest health institution or hospital for treatment. To prevent the spread of dengue, programs have been conducted in the municipalities of different districts of the province to search for mosquito habitats and destroy the larvae.
