Stree 2 is projected to open at Rs 40 crore in India Looking at the trend of advance ticket sales, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Stree 2’ is seen to have an aggressive opening at the Indian box office.
According to Pinkvilla, 2.87 lakh tickets of this film have been sold till 4 pm on Wednesday for Indian Independence Day. 87,000 tickets have been sold in the paid preview for the night of the same day.
The overall advance ticket sales of ‘Stree 2’ is 3.74 lakhs. The film is heading towards advance ticket sales in the range of 4.75 lakhs to 5 lakhs. ‘Stree 2‘ has surpassed ‘Gadar 2’ (2.74 lakhs) and ‘Mission Mangal’ (2.71 lakhs) in advance ticket sales on Independence Day.
It is said that the advance ticket sales of ‘Stree 2’ till 6 pm on Wednesday will surpass those of Brahmastra, Dangal, Tiger, Sultan, and Bharat. By midnight, it is said to surpass ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and ‘Thugs of Hindustan’.
But there is no possibility of the film touching the figure of 50 crores because other films are also releasing on the same date. After Mumbai and Pune, the film’s advance ticket sales are aggressive in North India. But the advance ticket sales of ‘Khel Khel Mein‘ and ‘Veda’, which are scheduled to be performed on Friday, are low.
Halls in Nepal have also started selling advance tickets for these three films. Advance ticket sales have also started for the Nepali film ‘Bulaki’, which is being screened again on Friday.
