16 Crores Have Been Spent The Construction of Smart Cities is Zero Even though more than 16 million rupees have been spent in the name of Smart City, it has been found that none of the plans have been implemented. According to the 61st report of the Auditor General published on Sunday, none of the smart city plans have been implemented.

The Government of Nepal approved the concept of a Smart City on Baisakh 25, 2075, to manage the slums of Kathmandu Valley. Which, the goal was to build four smart cities with an area of 100,000 ropanis in the northeast of Kathmandu, 10,000 ropanis in the north of Kathmandu, and 10,000 ropanis each in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
According to the Accountant General, the implementation process should be moved forward, as the time and cost will increase if the plan is not implemented for years.
