Telephone Service of Nepal Telecom Based on Coper Technology is Closed Nepal Telecom has upgraded the basic telephone (PSTN) service based on old copper technology to fiber-to-the-home technology, operating in all locations under the jurisdiction of Telecommunication Office Sundhara.
Managing Director Sangeeta Pahadi (Aryal) switched off the copper technology telephone service and stopped this service in an event held at the Sundhara Telecom office on Thursday.
Telephone and ADSL lines distributed by copper technology have been fully migrated to the modern fiber technology network, and the copper network has been closed.
On that occasion, the managing director of the company, Pahadi, expressed her happiness that the old copper technology had been converted into modern fiber technology as per the demand of the time and the continuity of the technology in the telecom sector.
After migrating to FTTH technology, the company believes that this service will be fruitful for customers as they can get high-speed Internet, telephone, and television services through the same cable through the latest technology, NT fiber.
