Apple is bringing tools like ChatGPT to help customer care staff - Laxman Baral Blog

Apple is bringing tools like ChatGPT to help customer care staff. Apple has internally tested generative AI tools like ChatGPT. Apple is about to introduce such a tool with the purpose of helping the customer care support staff communicate with the customer technically. Currently, this tool is available to a limited number of Customer Care Support Advisors under a pilot program.

According to information received by Mac Rumors, the tool named ‘Ask’ will understand any technical question from the customer and automatically answer it. Based on that answer, the advisor can give proper suggestions to the customer online or through a phone call.

According to the company, ‘Ask’ will prepare appropriate answers from Apple’s internal knowledge base. The advisor can rate how helpful or unhelpful the answer is. Similarly, Advice can also ask some relevant follow-up questions with ‘Ask’.

The company has said that this tool will be made available to all advisors in the near future. Previously, the advisors of customer care support used to find answers to questions in the traditional way and give reliable suggestions to customers. In this case, it was difficult to give quick answers to complex problems.

This year, Apple is expected to give more priority to generative AI. It is said that the company is going to include generative AI in Siri, Spotlight, Message, Health, Number, Page, Keynote, and other apps in iOS 18. Apple CEO Tim Cook has also been saying that the company is working on generative AI features.

According to him, he says that more information about generative AI will be provided gradually. iOS 18 is expected to be announced at the WWDC developer conference in June of this year. Then the update will be available on the device in September.
