For this, there is no hassle of using any mobile operator’s SIM in other countries. But before going abroad to get roaming service, it is easy to use this service if you get some necessary information while staying in Nepal.

The tariff rate for discounted roaming service is lower than the standard one. So it is beneficial for you to use this service. Roaming service and detailed information about it can be seen here.
Currently, when I went to India with a Nepal Telecom SIM, calling any number in India would cost Rs. 7. Similarly, even when picking up a call from any number in Nepal or any other country, per minute, it costs Rs. 7.

Similarly, when picking up incoming calls, per minute it costs Rs. 25, and per SMS it costs Rs. 10. Running similar data costs just 0.49 paisa per 100 KB. According to this, per MB, around Rs. 5
It is better to activate the roaming service while you are in Nepal. Roaming service can be activated by dialing 1415*7# from your mobile as per the given instructions. If you find it difficult to activate the service by yourself, you can go to the nearest Nepal Telecom office and activate the service.
If you go abroad without activating the roaming service during your stay in Nepal, then this service can be activated from there. In order to activate the roaming service on the SIM you have, you have to fill out the form and apply via email. For this, first of all, you have to fill out the form related to Roaming Active among the various forms under the download option on Nepal Telecom’s website.
After filling out the form correctly, a photocopy of your citizenship or passport and the completed form should be emailed to roaming.support@ntc.net.np. After receiving the email sent in this way, Nepal Telecom will provide roaming service on the respective prepaid mobile. If so, the roaming service is active on the prepaid SIM.
But in a postpaid SIM, the balance amount in the SIM must be at least 5000 rupees to be activated in this way. Remember, if the balance amount is less than $5,000 in the account number of Yad Postpaid, you should go to the nearest telecommunications office or deposit the cash amount to reach $5,000 by yourself.
No matter how much money you have in the prepaid SIM, you can use the roaming service as per your needs. There is no amount limit for this. But if the balance on the postpaid SIM decreases to less than $3000, the roaming service cannot be used. Therefore, when going abroad, it is better to save as much money as you need.
After activating the roaming service in this way, you have to connect (latch) to the network of the mobile service provider (operator) of the respective country through the mobile device you are using. Generally, it can automatically connect to the network (auto-latch). If there is no auto-latch, you should manually latch after searching the network.
If you have an Android mobile set, then the mobile network is in its settings, and when you search operator by searching network, the network of the mobile operator of the respective country can be seen. If you select the same network, you can now use the roaming service on your mobile.
For iOS: Settings > Cellular > Network Selection > Select
If you are going to India, there is also roaming data in India. Roaming packs are not available in other countries. With roaming data packs in India, data can also be used at a low price.
According to the company, the roaming service is very useful among the various facilities provided to Nepalese people living or going abroad. The company said that it will try to make this type of service more attractive in the future.
