Nepal’s First Animated Film Salina Made After Five Years The Nepali movie ‘Salina’, which has been prepared using animation technology after spending five years, is going to be screened on the 16th of Chaitra. On the occasion of Vasant Panchami, Rainmaker Animation Academy announced the screening date of the movie on Wednesday.
Along with the announcement of the screening date, a poster showing the characters of the movie receiving blessings from Mother Saraswati has also been released. The movie is being distributed by Manoj Rathi and Ujjwal Poudel on behalf of Banktes Entertainment Pvt. Tejasraj Joshi, the director of the movie, informed us that the trailer is going to be released by OSR Digital.
Salina Rainmaker is a fictional movie produced by Animation Academy. “This is Nepal’s first animated feature film made entirely with Nepali techniques and in Nepali language,” Joshi said while talking to Tekpana, “It has the background voice of a human being. Apart from that, all the other characters are created using animation techniques.”
According to Puri, Salina will hit multiplex cinemas in Nepal on 16 Chaitra. The production side has informed that this movie will be shown in multiplex theaters in the first phase and will gradually increase the shows in single theaters in the following days.
This movie is produced by Tejas Raj Joshi and Shruti Shrestha. Similarly edited by Shruti and Shiv Puri. Sagin Maharjan, Avinash Singh Tharu, and Shirbha Manandhar have contributed to graphic art. Achinsundar Pradhan has done the technical work of information technology and networking of the movie.
Salina, claimed to be Nepal’s first animated film, is based on the story of a fictional princess. According to Joshi, it took five years to make the film as it was a small team. According to him, the movie is based on a fairy tale, where Princess Salina is the main character. She, along with other characters, embarks on a journey to defeat the biggest monster, and the story of the movie moves forward on this Serofero.
