Constitution Day Was Celebrated In Nepal Today. Constitution Day is being celebrated across the country today with various programs, commemorating the day the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal was promulgated by the Constituent Assembly.
Constitution Day is observed annually on the 3rd of Ashwin to mark the Constituent Assembly’s promulgation of the ‘Constitution of Nepal‘. A main ceremony was held at Tundikhel in the federal capital, Kathmandu, to mark the occasion.
The ceremony was attended by President Ramchandra Paudel, Prime Minister Balen Shah ‘Balendra’, Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Chief Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, Speaker of the House of Representatives DP Aryal, and Chairperson of the National Assembly Narayan Dahal, alongside heads of constitutional bodies and high-ranking officials.
During the main ceremony, the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, various cultural groups, and students performed march-pasts, cultural processions, and cultural presentations. The event conveyed messages highlighting the significance of the Constitution, national unity, and the strengthening of the democratic system.
On the occasion of Constitution Day, President Paudel, Prime Minister Shah, and leaders of various political parties issued messages of best wishes, calling upon all stakeholders to move forward responsibly to ensure the full implementation of the Constitution, the preservation of democratic values and norms, and the promotion of national unity and prosperity.
