NCP Coordinator Prachanda Elected From Rukum East. Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has been elected from Rukum East.
Former Prime Minister Prachanda was elected as a member of the House of Representatives with 10,240 votes.
His nearest competitor, CPN-UML‘s Leelamani Gautam, received 3,462 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Kusumdevi Thapa received 3,081 votes. Similarly, Progressive Democratic Party candidate Sandeep Pun received 203 votes, while Biplav-led Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) candidate Juddha Bahadur Budhamagar received 191 votes.
