National ID Card Mandatory For Personal Income Tax And Company Registration And Driving License From Today, a national identity card has been made mandatory for personal income tax, company registration, and driver’s license. According to the gazette published on June 10, the national identity card is mandatory for these government documents.
The government has issued various decisions in the gazette regarding the use of national identity cards for sections 3 and 10 of the National Identity Card and Registration Act, 2076. It is stated in (a) of that decision, “To obtain or request public service facilities provided by the Nepalese government-owned entities, institutions, and private sector, in place of the Nepali citizenship certificate that must be submitted, national identity card or national identity number must be submitted to receive such service facilities. “
In (b) of the same decision, a national identity card has been made mandatory for work related to revenue, driver’s license, and company registration and renewal.
Similarly, it is mentioned in the gazette that from Magh 1, 2081, national identity cards will be mandatory for banking and financial services, telephone and SIM cards, social security funds, and real estate-related work.
