Wordpad
Wordpad will not be available in the new windows. Microsoft decided to remove it from Windows last year. But in the new versions of Windows 11, Word Pad can be seen. But Microsoft has stopped giving updates to them. Users running WordPad should now use other applications.
Cortana
Cortana developed by Microsoft as a virtual assistant did not last long. Now it has been replaced by Copilot AI. If you have used Cortana in the past, you can use Microsoft’s Copilot AI with ease.
VB script
If someone is using VBScript for scripting, Microsoft is also going to remove it. It was used to make web pages. But its alternatives will be JavaScript and Powershell. However, Microsoft stopped giving updates to it in 2020. Now with the new version of Windows, Microsoft can remove it from Windows forever.
WebDAV
Since there will be no WebClite, Microsoft is also going to remove WebDAV. This means that no web protocol can be connected to network drives through WebDAV.
Windows to Go
Previously, due to Windows to Go, it was possible to save Windows on an external storage like a hard drive and run it on other computers. Now Microsoft is going to close this feature. Now Microsoft has stopped supporting this feature.
home group
Microsoft is also going to end support for home groups, or home network groups. If the user has created shareable homegroups, they will be preserved. Otherwise, Microsoft will completely remove the home group from its operating system.
Windows Mail
Microsoft has removed the Windows Mail app from both Windows 10 and 11. In place of this app, Microsoft has put a new app Outlook. But because all emails are exchanged through Microsoft’s servers, many people are commenting negatively about it now.
Apart from these, Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool (MSDT), Transport Layer Security Protocol (TLS), WMike dot ESE, PSR dot ESE, TLS, and other features and programs will also be removed by Microsoft from the upcoming update of Windows 11.
