The Umbholi Festival is Being Celebrated by Worshiping at Bhumesthana The important festival of Kirant Rai community Umbholi, i.e., Chandi Purnima, is being celebrated today. Every year on the day of Baisakh Shukla Purnima, there is a tradition of worshiping at Bhumesthana, celebrating the Umbholi festival, and dancing Chandi.

There is a tradition of worshiping nature in the fields in the villages so that it works well before planting the crops.

It is said that its name is Umbholi because the people of this community go to the lake from Bensi because the summer heats up. The Kirant community believes that from the full moon of Baisakh, birds and other wild animals also come. It is said that the fish in the river also go to the lake from the Bensi River to avoid the heat.

Residents of Ainselukhark Rural Municipality in Khotang have prepared to celebrate this festival after Jestha 22. The people of Ainselukhark have a tradition of celebrating this festival after Jestha 22 every year. 

Even in the Kirant community, some people celebrate the Umbholi festival on the 1st of Magh, the day Uttarayan begins. Undhauli is celebrated on the Shrawan of Baisakh after the start of Dakshinayan. Many people in this community celebrate Undhauli Baisakh Shukla Purnima and Undhauli Parva Margashirsha Shukla Purnima.
