India’s mission to study the sun is reaching its final destination this week Aditya L One, sent by India to study the Sun, is nearing its goal. Aditya L One is about to reach Lagrange Point One (L One) on a journey of four months after the launch.
According to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), if there is no problem with the spacecraft, Aditya L One will reach the final orbit of its target on January 6. To reach the target, the spacecraft has to enter the halo orbit of L One, which is about 1.5 million kilometers from Earth, which is the most challenging part of the spacecraft before reaching its destination.
ISRO has said that the engine in the plane will burn for the last time after approaching L One. ISRO says that if this is successful, Aditya L-One will work for more than five years if the spacecraft enters L-One.
India launched Aditya-L One as its first solar spacecraft on September 2 last year. Israel plans to place the Aditya-El One in a position where the gravity of the Sun and Earth is balanced.
While there, Aditya-L One will study space weather, space motion, solar activity, and its impact on space weather in real-time.
