Kaligandaki Floods Wash Away 25 Houses In Parbat Twenty-five houses have been swept away after the flow of the Kaligandaki River increased and entered the settlement at Farse in Jaljala Rural Municipality-8, Parbat.
According to the Nepal Police, the river’s flow surged and entered the settlement around 8:00 AM on Sunday. There were approximately 80 houses in the settlement; police reported that while 25 of them have been washed away, the remaining houses are also at risk.
So far, there have been no human casualties in the incident. Police have stated that all local residents of the settlement have been relocated to a safe place.
Due to the landslide, the police team has not yet been able to reach the site. The location is approximately 6 kilometers east of the Milanchowk Police Post in Parbat.
