Nepal New Prime Minister To Be Sworn In On Chaitra 13. The National Independent Party (NIP) has secured a majority in the House of Representatives elections held on February 21 by winning 182 seats. The NCP had announced senior leader Balendra Shah as its candidate for the post of Prime Minister even before the elections. The NCP is preparing to form a government under Shah’s leadership.
With this, the swearing-in ceremony of NCP senior leader Balendra Shah as Prime Minister on March 13 has been finalised.
The leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have held discussions on the formation of the government at the Royal Singhi Hotel in the capital. After the discussions, it has been decided that the Prime Minister will take the oath immediately after the MPs take the oath.
‘The Prime Minister will take the oath on Chaitra 13,’ RSSW Vice President Swarnim Wagle told Setopati.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat has scheduled a swearing-in ceremony for MPs at 2 pm on Chaitra 12. The RSSW has decided to form the government immediately after that.
