Drone Attack On US Embassy In Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The US Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has been hit by a drone attack. The Saudi Ministry of Defense has confirmed that two drones struck the embassy building.
The embassy, in a statement on the social media platform ‘X’, said the attack caused a minor fire and minor damage to the building.
According to news agency Reuters, a loud explosion was heard after the attack on the embassy building and a plume of black smoke was seen in the sky.
The US mission in Saudi Arabia has urged residents of Jeddah, Riyadh and Dhahran to “stay safe at home.”
Earlier on Monday, smoke was seen billowing from or near the US Embassy in Kuwait. The embassy then requested the public not to come to the embassy and to stay safe in their homes.
