Pumdikot Is Adding A New Dimension To Pokhara’s Tourism With the construction of a giant statue of Lord Shiva in Pumdikot in Pokhara Valley, the place has become a tourist attraction. It is becoming popular as a new destination for domestic and foreign tourists visiting Pokhara.
A 51-foot-tall statue of Lord Shiva has been built in Pumdikot. The structure, including the statue, has been built here to make it a religious tourism destination. On about 22 ropanis of land, 108 structures, including a giant Shiva statue, Damaru, Kalash, and others, have been built.
Located 13 kilometres from Pokhara Bazaar, Pumdikot offers panoramic views of the Sarangkot, Fewa Lake, and the Pokhara region along with the Himalayan ranges. Hundreds of tourists are starting to reach Pumdikot every day.
