Musk Fires Back At Trump Over Epstein Dossier. On June 5, Elon Musk did what no one has been able to do since Donald Trump entered the political arena in 2015. He blew up Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign.

It all started with a sensational post on X. “Now it’s time to drop the really big bombshell. Donald Trump’s name is in the Epstein files,” Musk wrote. “That’s the real reason the files haven’t been made public. Have a good day.” Musk has now deleted the post.

The damage had been done to Trump. Trump was facing a serious rebellion from someone he once trusted, and the spark for this came from Musk.

Musk’s Planned Attack

The rift in the Trump-Musk relationship became public last month, when the US president, angered by Musk’s criticism, signalled that the government would seek jobs for Musk’s companies. The day Trump made the announcement, Tesla’s stock price fell sharply, wiping $150 billion off its market value.

But what many initially didn’t notice was that Musk tried to implicate Trump in a highly controversial case – Jeffrey Epstein.

What is the Jeffrey Epstein file?

Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier. He had deep connections with American politicians, businessmen and influential figures in the entertainment industry. He was accused of sexually abusing minors. Epstein is accused of hosting lavish parties on private islands in New York, Florida and the Caribbean, where he invited close and powerful people, and of providing minors with sexual services.

This is what is now colloquially called the Epstein file. It refers to a file containing Epstein’s activities, his associates, his guests, close friends, court documents, and other evidence.

Musk Adds Fuel to the Fire

In a series of posts on X on July 17, Musk asked Grok, an AI chatbot built into his X platform, to compile a list of people who had visited Epstein’s infamous private island.

“The alleged rape of minors provided by Epstein should be investigated,” Musk wrote. He also instructed Grok to compile a list of people who had been involved on the same day, based on the seriousness of the alleged crimes.

Musk’s move has sparked renewed online activity and reaction, with the hashtag #ReleaseTheEpsteinFile resurfacing.

Meanwhile, the US Justice Department has fired Maureen Comey, the investigator who reopened some files in the case, sparking further scepticism online. The move has fueled fears that Trump is trying to cover up evidence against him.

A series of controversies and confrontations

The dispute between Musk and Trump is not limited to the Epstein file. They also clashed over Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ of tax cuts and spending cuts. Musk called the bill harmful to the country and “political suicide” for the Republican Party. As the dispute escalated, Trump even threatened to expel Musk from the United States. In response, Trump responded by saying that he would start a new party.

However, Musk has returned to his work after drawing Trump into the fire of the Epstein file controversy. However, Trump has not yet stopped being burned by this fire.

Trump has made a strategic attack by raising similar moral questions against Trump, who has put his opponents under moral scrutiny for his political rise.
